Gina Folly is a Swiss artist showing new work made for the exhibition taking place in a penthouse apartment. The furniture and parts of the interior in the Pirovino living room are covered in transparent plastic printed with distorted imagery of the artist’s hands combined with replicas of the artist’s ears reproduced in stone.
Lene Adler Petersen’s work Cuttings on paper with the ♀-sign was created over the course of a few weeks in 1974 and comprises 484 collages. The title reflects the simple artistic approaches and devices employed in a seemingly perpetual and inexhaustible poetic process and meditation on the ♀-sign.
Her photographic work Ting- nogle parforhold (Things- some relationships) is a series of tableaus of everyday objects arranged in couples. Some similar in form, others in function – some vastly different in both material, form and function. They where originally produced for the 1976 show 5 Dänische Künstler at Kunstmuseum Luzern with the art collective Arme & Ben and later released in the form of a handprinted pamphlet.
In correlation with the exhibition NERO Magazine will launch the publication SPACE IS THE PLACE 2014 in an edition of 100.
